Chef R provided a special Valentine’s Day service for a lucky couple in Kona last month. The menu included some very authentic specialties like Stewed Pork with Chinese Cabbage, Fried Kaui Shrimp in Tamarind Sauce and Spicy Southern Style Curry Short Ribs.

Fresh summer rolls in steamed rice paper wrap with local mango (seasonal availability), organic vegetables and herbs. Served with homemade dipping sauce and garnished with crushed peanuts.

Chef R likes to make these Thai yellow curry-stuffed spring rolls as stand-alone party appetizers. A specialty of the southern regions of Thailand with influences from Malay and Indian cooking, the stuffing consists of potato, peas, and carrot with traditional herbs and spices.
Vegetarian spring rolls served hot and crispy by Chef R for pūpū (appetizer) at a private Christmas Party on the Kona coast. Garnished with fresh local cabbage and house-made sweet chili dipping sauce.
